However, once it leaves our hands, nature can sometimes do her thing. Because our butters are made with natural oils and butters (and zero synthetic stabilizers), they can melt in high heat.

The good news? Melted body butter is still perfectly usable. Its texture may change, but it’s just as nourishing and effective. Whipped or not, your skin will still love it.

If you prefer to restore the whipped texture, here’s a simple method to rewhip it at home:

How to Rewhip Your Body Butter:

1. Scoop the melted butter into a small glass or stainless steel bowl.
2. Place the bowl in the freezer until the mixture is fully cold and firm (about 20–30 minutes).
3. Once chilled, use a hand mixer to whip it until light and fluffy.
4. Spoon it back into your original jar and enjoy that creamy texture once again.

No matter the consistency, your body butter is still full of skin-loving goodness.
